Well, the LitQuake organizers warned us in advance to expect a rowdy crowd, but it turned out quite the opposite. Anthony’s Cookies was a charming venue for our haiku reading, and the crowd was attentive and quiet. The invitation-only party aferwards at the Elbow Room was another story — dark, crowded and LOUD! After one drink and a good dose of people watching, we headed home with our box of Anthony’s Cookies (which, by the way, are absolutely delicious). If you find yourself in the Mission District with a craving for a warm, homemade cookie, that is the place to go.
